Team spirit
For us, hospitality is a vocation and team spirit a daily strength.
These two pillars guide each of our actions and help us to meet the exciting challenges of our businesses. Passing on knowledge is at the heart of our culture: whether they are seasonal workers, trainees, work-study students or permanent employees, they all benefit from support to help them learn, develop and improve.
In fact, many of our coaches started their first season with us. This taste for sharing, this desire to have fun and to progress together are the foundations of the human richness of our Group.
Within the La Mère Poulard Group, we are defining a working framework and a corporate culture that encourages diversity within our workforce and equality between the women and men who make up our company. The professional equality index enables companies to measure the differences in pay and situations between women and men, and highlights areas for improvement. The gender equality index for 2024 gives the La Mère Poulard Group a very favourable score of 89/100.
Detailed results:
Pay gap: 36 / 40
Difference in the rate of individual increases: 35 / 35
Percentage of employees who received a pay rise in the year following their return from maternity leave: 0 / 0
Number of employees of the under-represented sex among the 10 employees with the highest salaries: 5 / 10

"Since I joined the group 7 years ago, I've worked my way up the takeaway ladder. I came for the season, then I signed a permanent contract. Even a young person with no experience has a place in one of our businesses if they're motivated! Everyone pulls together and there's always someone to help. What I like most is that we get to meet lots of people from completely different backgrounds, and we learn something new every day in our jobs. For example, I spoke very little English when I started out. The La Mère Poulard Group offered me the chance to take English language courses, and I was able to pass the TOEIC exam so that I could better welcome international customers.

"Working at the Auberge La Mère Poulard is much more than just a job. It's being part of an iconic place, steeped in history, where every day is different. What I love here is the respect and team spirit. We look after our customers, but we also look after each other. I pay a lot of attention to the little details that make all the difference: a perfectly made bed, well-folded towels, a spotless room. The pace changes with the seasons, calmer in winter, busier in summer, but the energy remains the same. Seeing visitors amazed by the Mont, and knowing that I've helped to make their stay a pleasant one, is my greatest reward.
